Abstract

The invention discloses a method for rapidly measuring vitality of rice stigma, which comprises the following steps: (1) taking pollinated glumous flowers after flowering of a rice plant to be measured, taking out stigmas from the glumous flowers, removing styluses, placing on a glass slide containing a hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution with the volume fraction of 1-10%, and covering with a cover glass; and (2) placing the glass slide under the 4 * view of the optical microscope, starting timing, counting the time when the bubbles in the hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution expand to fill the whole 4 * view screen of the optical microscope, and obtaining the duration which is the rice stigma vitality index.
