Embodiment Construction

[0020] In the embodiment of the present invention, a DTI-based method for measuring the microstructural variation of white matter in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, the specific steps include sample collection, MRI image acquisition, MRI image analysis and statistical analysis;

[0021] Sample collection included collecting 48 patients with type 2 diabetes (18 males and 30 females) and 48 healthy controls (26 males and 22 females) matched with age, sex and education level. There was no significant difference in gender between the two groups (P=0.16). The blood sugar, blood pressure, blood lipid (triglyceride, total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein), body mass index and medication history of all subjects were recorded in detail. All subjects underwent MRI examination.

[0022] MRI image acquisition: A 3TGE magnetic resonance scanner is used, the patient is placed in a supine position, and an 8-channel head coil is used. For each subject, conventional axial T 1...

Abstract

The invention discloses a DTI-based method for determining white matter micro-structure variation of a type 2 diabetic patient. The method comprises the specific steps of sample collection, MRI imageacquisition, MRI image analysis and statistical analysis. The abnormal change of the white matter micro-structure of the type 2 diabetic patient is discovered by using the DTI technology, the damage of white matters and fiber bundles in a plurality of brain regions is discovered, and the brain regions are closely related to DMN, so that the damage can cause cognitive impairment of the patient. Inaddition, the thalamus is widely connected with a plurality of brain regions through fibers, especially an edge system, and the white matter damage of the thalamus indicates cognitive impairment of the patient in the aspects of emotion and the like. The invention further discusses the relationship between type 2 diabetes mellitus and dementia, and provides a theoretical basis for subsequent inventions and diagnosis and treatment of cognitive impairment of patients.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of medical imaging, in particular to a DTI-based method for measuring microstructural variation of white matter in patients with type 2 diabetes. Background technique [0002] With the development of the disease, patients with type 2 diabetes may develop various cognitive impairments, mainly manifested as decreased memory, attention and executive ability, but the mechanism of its occurrence is not yet fully understood. Past neuroimaging inventions have found brain changes in people with type 2 diabetes that increase the risk of dementia. But the relationship between people with type 2 diabetes and dementia is less clear. Contents of the invention [0003] The present invention aims to provide a method for exploring the abnormal changes of the microstructure of white matter in patients with type 2 diabetes by diffusion tensor imaging, and for initially exploring the potential relationship between type 2 diabetes and...
