Abstract

The embodiment of the invention relates to a method and equipment for transmitting data and a computer program product. A method includes determining, at a source node, a traffic type of a packet to be sent to a destination node, wherein a plurality of network paths for different service types are arranged between the source node and the destination node. The method also includes including a flagindicating the traffic type in the packet. Further, the method includes sending a packet including the flag to the destination node such that the packet is forwarded along a network path of the plurality of network paths that is specific to the traffic type. According to the embodiment of the invention, different network paths are respectively used for transmitting data according to different service types of the data, so that network performance optimization can be carried out according to different network requirements.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to the field of data transmission, and specifically relate to a method, device, and computer program product for transmitting data. Background technique [0002] Traditional network path selection is usually based on network destination address or transport layer traffic information. Network paths are usually determined based on a routing protocol, such as a shortest routing algorithm or an equal cost multipath routing (ECMP) selection algorithm. For example, the selection of a network path typically depends on the network address, source or destination port, or other statically configured fields in the data packet. Therefore, in conventional schemes, all data sent from the same source node to the same destination node will be transmitted via the same network path. [0003] As computing demands continue to grow, many communication-intensive applications, such as machine learning, deep learning, a...
