Abstract

The invention discloses a system and method for pretreatment of high-protein wastewater. The system comprises an electrofiltration bed and a coagulation sedimentation tank, wherein the electrofiltration bed is connected with a water inlet pipe; a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate and a filtering material are arranged in the electrofiltration bed; the positive electrode plate andthe negative electrode plate are connected with a power source; the filtering material is arranged between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate; the electrofiltration bed isconnected with the coagulation sedimentation tank through a communication pipe; the coagulation sedimentation tank is connected with a water outlet pipe; and a metering pump used for adding a flocculant and a pipeline type mixer are arranged on the communication pipe. According to the invention, electrodes and the filtering material are arranged on the electrofiltration bed, and through electrocatalytic oxidation, long-chain protein molecules are decomposed into short-chain protein molecules; and through the action between trace iron ions and protein molecules with negatively-charged surface,electrostatic repulsion force among the protein molecules is reduced, and sedimentation of protein is promoted, so highly-efficient removal of the protein in water is realized, and the COD value of the wastewater is reduced. The system and the method provided by the invention has the following advantages: the cost of equipment is significantly reduced; the amount of an added chemical is reduced; the cost of purification is effectively reduced; and favorable conditions are provided for advanced treatment of protein wastewater.
