The graphene material for the asphalt modification comprises partially oxidized graphene powder and a surface grafting modifier. The partially oxidized graphene powder is connected to an inorganic affinity group in the surface grafting modifier by means of an oxygen-containing functional group on the partially oxidized graphene powder. The oxygen content in the partially oxidized graphene powder is 0.05%-15%. Also disclosed is the application of the graphene material for the asphalt modification or the preparation method of the graphene material in matrix asphalt and modified asphalt.
