Abstract

The invention relates to a video watermark embedding and extracting method based on inter-layer prediction. According to the method, an inter-layer prediction module introduced by an H.264 / SVC (H.264Scalable Video Code) encoding and decoding frame is utilized; firstly watermark information is subjected to binarization processing; and an inter-layer prediction use method of assigning an encoding end by a binarized watermark sequence to input different macro blocks of a video sequence frame image in the encoding process is utilized. At a decoding end, by an inter-layer prediction use method ofjudging each macro block of the frame image, the watermark information is extracted to form a watermark binary sequence. Compared to the prior art, the video watermark embedding and extracting methodsolves the problem of loss of part of watermark information in an existing watermark embedding algorithm, which is caused by video encoding and decoding processing after embedding of a watermark, andhas better robustness and higher watermark extraction efficiency.
