The coating provided by the invention comprises the following components: EPDM rubber, petroleum ether, disodium methylene dinaphthalene phosphate, cyclopentanol, idesia oil, zinc borate, an auxiliary agent, trioctyl trimetabenzoate, an anti-drip agent , nanometer bauxite and celestine powder. The salt-spray-resistant coating provided by the invention is prepared from the above-mentioned raw materials through a scientific and reasonable proportion. Through coating of the salt-spray-resistant coating provided by the invention onto the surface of the cable, the surface of the cable can be prevented from generating the crystalline salt; theservice life of the cable is prolonged; practice proves that the service life of the cable can be prolonged by 2 to 4 years; and the salt-spray-resistant coating is worth popularization and application.
