The method comprises the steps of segmenting a to-be-detected image into more than one sub-image; inputting each sub-image to a convolutional neural network trained according to a training image subjected to head position calibration, and outputting a first feature corresponding to each sub-image through front layers including a convolutional layer and sub-sampling layers in the convolutional neural network; mapping the first feature corresponding to each sub-image into a second feature corresponding to each sub-image through a convolutional layer behind the front layers in the convolutional neural network; mapping the second feature corresponding to each sub-image into a head position corresponding to each sub-image and a confidence degree corresponding to the head position through a regressive layer of the convolutional neural network; and filtering the head position corresponding to each sub-image according to a corresponding confidence degree, thereby obtaining the head position detected in the to-be-detected image.
