The solvent is hydrogenated tail oil which serves as the solvent of ethylene preparation through pure acetylene hydrogenation so as to realize the effect of excellent solubility on green oil, the probability that the green oil covers the surface of a catalyst is greatly reduced, and the service life of the catalyst is prolonged; the boiling point of the solvent is high, the saturated steam pressure is low, and the solvent is not distilled off along with an ethylene product in the hydrogenation reaction, so that increase of the separation cost of a subsequent unit is avoided; the heat stability is good, decomposing does not occur at the reaction temperature, impurities are not generated, and the quality of the ethylene product is guaranteed; and the solvent dissolves a certain amount of green oil, and the acetylene hydrogenation green oil generating reaction can be inhibited.
