Abstract

Disclosed are a system and a method for testing signal integrity of hard disk interfaces. The system runs in a main control computer which is connected with an oscilloscope and a mechanical arm, and the mechanical arm is provided with a testing jig. The hard disk interfaces include an SAS (serial attached SCSI) interface and an SATA (serial advanced technology attachment) interface. The system comprises a parameter setting module, an arm control module, a signal measuring module, a signal analysis module and a report generation module. The system controls the mechanical arm to move the testing jig to each hard disk interface to acquire transmission signals, utilizes the oscilloscope to measure and analyze signal integrity parameters corresponding to the transmission signals with excellent signal integrity, and accordingly find out parameter set value for driving of each hard disk interface. By combination of the mechanical arm and the testing jig, the SAS interface and the SATA interface are switched automatically to complete testing, and thus, operation hours is shortened for personnel and error can be avoided.
