Embodiment

[0066] The following examples further illustrate substrates treated with the cleaning composition of the present invention, but these examples are not to be construed as limiting the invention as defined in the claims appended hereto. In fact, it is obvious to those skilled in the art that various modifications and changes can be made to the present invention without departing from the scope or spirit of the present invention. Unless otherwise stated, all parts and percentages given in these examples are by weight.

Embodiment i

[0137] Use 35.5% of Capture Deep cleaning powder (deep cleaning powder), 8.43% Witcobond 293, 28.6% water and 27.4% C5 starch (8% solution of C5 starch and water), under the trade name "Celfil" (obtained from Polimeros, a Mexican company) The weight of the company) is 40g / m 2 Screen printing is performed on one surface of a 100% nonwoven textile substrate. It provides %Capture The approximate ratio to% binder to% water is about 50:10:40. Use a 40 mesh screen for screen printing. The viscosity of the printing paste is 4400 cps. The pressure of the printing table is set to 6 and the speed is set to 40. For illustrative purposes, figure 1 with 2 A scanning electron micrograph of the preparation after being screen-printed onto a Celfil substrate is provided.

[0138] Comparative control 1

[0139] The Celfil polyester matrix was screen printed with a formulation comprising 28.4% Witcobond 293, 28.2% water, and 43.4% C5 starch (a 10% solution of C5 starch and water). Use a 40 mesh...

Embodiment 2

[0141] The same as Example 1, but using a 125 mesh screen for screen printing.

[0142] Comparative control 2

[0143] The Celfil polyester matrix was screen printed with a formulation comprising 28.4% Witcobond 293, 28.2% water, and 43.4% C5 starch (a 10% solution of C5 starch and water). Use a 125 mesh screen for screen printing. The viscosity of the printing paste is about 4300 cps. Except for control 1, use Capture Pre-Mist (75% by weight solution) wets all samples. The test results are shown in Table 1.

Abstract

This invention relates to a cleaning device comprising a cleaning composition and a substrate. The cleaning composition comprises an absorbent particulate, a binding agent, and optionally, a thickening agent. The cleaning composition may be applied to a substrate, such as a textile substrate, by applying the composition to at least one portion of the surface of the substrate or by incorporating the composition throughout the substrate. The absorbent particulate generally exhibits a high affinity for particles, color, grease, oil, and other staining materials and is a soft material which allows for gentle cleaning of most surfaces without detrimentally abrading and scratching soiled surfaces. The absorbent particulate also serves as an indicator providing a visual cue of its cleaning efficacy and may be used in either a wet or dry state.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a cleaning device including a cleaning composition and a substrate. The cleaning composition includes water absorbing agent particles, a binder, and optionally a thickener. The cleaning composition can be coated on a substrate, such as a textile substrate, by coating the composition on at least part of the surface of the substrate or spreading the composition throughout the substrate. Absorbent particles generally show high affinity for particles, colorants, grease, oil, and other contaminants, and are soft materials that allow gentle cleaning of most surfaces without harmfully scratching and scratching contaminated surfaces. The absorbent particles are also used as an indicator to provide a visual cue of their cleaning effect, and can be used in a wet or dry state. Background technique [0002] Treated substrates such as textile substrates for use as cleaning wipes are well known in the prior art. There are numerous example...
