Abstract

The invention relates to a method for realizing streaming media multicast network based on a mobile Agent, which comprises the following steps: (1) a multicast function collection D and the mobile Agent group containing the function collection are collected; (2) information of the function collection D is released by a multicast server to all rediffusion nodes in the multicast network; (3) functions which are not contained by the rediffusion node are added; (4) the mobile Agent of the rediffusion node is customized; (5) all rediffusion nodes in the multicast network are searched by the multicast server to add the rediffusion node, to delete the rediffusion node, to recombine the rediffusion structure and to check whether the nodes are all updated. The invention has the advantages that: the mobile Agent theory is introduced into realization of the multicast network of the streaming media application layer, which allows the topology of the multicast network to automatically reconstruct according to the network change; the multicast network is automatically reconstructed according to the network change; content and form of the multicast service are dynamically added and subtracted; load of the rediffusion service is adjusted by comprehensively considering situations of a plurality of users in the region.
