Benefits of technology

[0005]The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide an integrated structure of geogrid and web. To achieve the purpose, in the network of the geogrid, ribs are knitted with the web to become an integral part for the mesh of the geogrid to provide reinforcement and separation functions and offer multiple benefits included upgraded work quality and cost saving.
[0006]The rough and uneven structure of solid web surface provided by the ribs of the geogrid and the web in the mesh of the geogrid effectively improve a mutually contained yet agreeable mechanism with the earth and stone surrounding the geogrid to further increase the reinforcement results.
[0007]The web in the mesh of the geogrid prevents soil containing finer grains from penetrating into the geogrid thus to achieve the purpose of separation those finer grains from the geogrid. Furthermore, the present invention provides better structure since the geogrid and the web are knitted into an integral part to increase its benefits particularly when applied in separation.

Problems solved by technology

This work method is not economic nor providing easy work since it consumes too much time and labor and the geodetic woven / non-woven fabric prevents easy meshing with the geogrid thus to compromise the functions of reinforcement and separation otherwise expected from the geogrid.

Embodiment Construction

[0015]Referring to FIGS. 3 and 3-A, the present invention is essentially comprised of a structure of geogrid having its longitudinal and lateral ribs knitted with a web. Wherein, in the knitting process, each mesh 5A of a geogrid rib 5 is synchronously knitted with a thin filterable web 51 for the web 51 to define a closed distribution within each mesh 5A. The water permeable web 51 allow water containment W in soil S (or stones) to downwardly permeate and filter through as illustrated in FIG. 4 while preventing soil of smaller grains to downwardly penetrate. Accordingly, the process of pavement of woven or non-woven fabric can be omitted, thus to provide further handling and construction cost reduction.

[0016]Now referring to FIG. 4, the roughened geogrid 5 allows a thickness fall H between the web 51 and its abutted rib 5 to significantly form on both sides of the web a distribution of multiple concaves SB one after another. The concave SB receives the soil S (or stones) due to the...

Abstract

A construction of a geogrid integrated with a mesh used in geodetic engineering includes a reinforcement grid and a web; multiple longitudinal and lateral ribs of the geogrid being synchronously knitted with the web to become an integral part; the appearance of the integral part showing meshes of the geogrid and internally containing geodetic compound materials comprised of the web knitted with the ribs surrounding the web; the solid construction increasing friction resistance of the geodetic compound materials; the grids and multiple openings in different sizes of the web achieving good mutual containing behavior with gravels and sandy soil in different grains to improve mutual agreeable and separation functions between geodetic compound materials and the soil while improving the reinforcement function of the geogrid.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION[0001](a) Field of the Invention[0002]The present invention is related to a geogrid construction, and more particularly, to one comprised of multiple longitudinal and lateral ribs of the geogrid knitted with a web into an integrated part for the construction of the geogrid to contain solid strength in the form of the web so to increase the strength of the geogrid and improve the sheath strength between the geogrid and earth and stone by preventing earth and stone from penetrating through the mesh.[0003](b) Description of the Prior Art[0004]The primary function of a geogrid is for reinforcement and can be applied in reinforced retaining wall, slope, embankment, or the area featuring weak and soft geology. However, when the separation of the earth and stone on both sides due to difference in grain size is required at where geogrid is applied, the site will be paved with a geodetic woven fabric or non-fabric before paving the geogrid to achieve the purpose of...
