Problems solved by technology

[0006] The above-mentioned prior art changes the playback rate according to the current buffer occupancy rate, but does not fully consider the time-varying characteristics of the network, and cannot perform dynamic adjustments as the network delay changes. Good elimination of the impact of delay jitter on the quality of streaming media playback

Embodiment Construction

[0023] The method for the self-adaptive media broadcast that the present invention proposes is further described as follows on the personal computer platform in conjunction with accompanying drawing and embodiment:

[0024] Method flow process of the present invention as shown in Figure 2, comprises the following steps:

[0025] (1) record the time of the received multimedia data;

[0026] (2) Preliminary prediction is made to the media playback rate according to the received time;

[0027] (3) Correct the predicted value of the playback rate with the current occupancy rate of the buffer zone;

[0028] (4) limiting the playback rate obtained in (3);

[0029] (5) Media played at a limited rate.

[0030] The specific embodiment of each step of above-mentioned method of the present invention is described in detail respectively as follows:

[0031] The above method step (1) records the system receiving time of the received 10 sets of multimedia data. Record as t(1)~t(10). Th...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for adaptive multimedia broadcasting. Its characteristics show as follow: it records the arriving time about the received multimedia data, then it pre-detects the preliminary rate for broadcasting according to described time above, then it adapts the predictive value by using the current buffer occupancy rate, and it sets a limit about the predictive value, then it broadcasts the multimedia according the restricted rate. This method effectively reduces the possibility of buffer overflow and may also real-time tracks the changes in network delay to change the rate of broadcasting.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a multimedia adaptive playing method and belongs to the technical field of multimedia communication. Background technique [0002] Multimedia communication refers to a new communication method that can provide multiple media information—sound, image, graphics, data, text, etc.—at the same time during a call. It is the product of the combination of communication technology and computer technology. Compared with traditional single-media communication methods such as telephone, telegraph, fax, and computer communication, using multimedia communication, users separated by thousands of miles can not only exchange information with sound, image, and text, but also multimedia information distributed in different locations can be used in unison. Complete information is presented in front of the user, and the user has complete interactive control over the entire communication process. The "best effort service" provided by the actual ne...
