Therefore, wireless communication also has such a fundamental flaw: because the description of the communication is intercepted, there is a fear of information leakage
In other words, since the transmission quality of the transmission path 8 is compensated by the antenna diversity gain, the transmission path error in the wireless station 3 may thus increase

Embodiment Construction

[0068] Today, transmission techniques of interleaving, transmission path coding, and packet retransmission control are commercially available, and can enhance the error correction effect if the interference signal component fluctuates irregularly during the busy period of the line on which information is transmitted. That is, it is considered that in order to improve the effective throughput value, the bit error rate and the packet error rate can be further reduced in a transmission path in which The disturbance signal component is given irregular fluctuations so that although the disturbance signal component increases instantaneously, the disturbance signal is rarely observed for a period of time.

[0069]Then, if control can be provided so that the diversity gain can be obtained while intentionally producing a dynamic fading environment for the transmission path 8, even if the transmission path 8 between the transmitting station 6 and the receiving station 7 is in the quasi-s...

Abstract

A wireless communication system wherein a simple structure is used to maintain, even under a quasi-static fading environment of wireless communication, the transmission quality of a wireless line used between particular radio stations, while reducing the influence of radio wave interference with other radio stations using the same frequency band, and further preventing information from leaking to other radio stations. A transmitter station (101) selects, based on quality information of a transmission path (104), an optimum one of a plurality of antennas to transmit a packet from the selected antenna to a receiver station (102). The receiver station (102) uses an antenna, selected from among a plurality of antennas, to receive the packet from the transmitter station (101), and switches from the currently selected antenna to another one. Then, the receiver station (102) transmits, from the other antenna, a response packet, which is responsive to the received packet, to the transmitter station (101). The transmitter station (101) uses the plurality of antennas to receive the response packet, and selects, as a packet transmission antenna, an antenna, which exhibits the best reception quality, to transmit a packet from the selected antenna to the receiver station (102). This process is repeated hereafter.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, including a base station and associated stations for wireless packet communication. Background technique [0002] The intention of access technology in wireless communication is to make it possible to share frequencies in a limited wireless propagation space in order to enhance the convenience of as many users as possible. However, geographical conditions and human movement are complicated in the actual wireless propagation space, so not only the transmission path of the wireless channel fluctuates irregularly with time (hereinafter referred to as time fluctuation), but also the same frequency band is used in the limited wireless propagation space Multiple wireless stations may be sources of interference to each other. That is, it is practically difficult for each wireless station to strictly control its communication area, so there is a possibility that more than specified wireless int...
