Problems solved by technology

[0030] 2. There is no evidence of formation of crystalline compositions or solid solutions of vanadium pentoxide and aluminum or vanadium pentoxide and silicon
[0033] 5. In the reaction between sodium or calcium vanadate and aluminum-silicon, bricks with high silicon content are easier to form low melting point slag than bricks with high aluminum content
[0061] Notwithstanding the above, the burning of petroleum coke to melt the raw glass has not been considered in the glass industry because of the negative impact on the structure of the refractories in the furnace due to the above considerations such as pollution and high sulfur and vanadium All factors of serious environmental problems

Embodiment Construction

[0108] The invention will be described with reference to specific embodiments in which like parts are designated like like numerals. Figure 1 is a block diagram of an embodiment of the present invention, mainly comprising: a system for comminuting fuel feed and combustion in at least one burner A of a glass melting furnace, as described below, the glass melting furnace being of the side port type; Refractory material means B of different shapes forming the walls and bottom of the regenerator of the glass melting furnace, the refractory material means being selected as a material containing at least 98% magnesium oxide, wherein the purity of the raw materials forming the refractory material reduces the oxidation present in the material The amount of calcium does not delay the formation of the molten phase. In order for the refractory to have inclusions encapsulated by magnesia, the refractory must be sintered at high temperature to create a ceramic cement in the host material. ...

Abstract

A method and a system for supplying and burning a pulverized fuel such as petroleum coke in a glass-melting furnace including a glass-melting area and a plurality of burners associated with a pair of juxtaposed and sealed regeneration chambers acting as heat exchangers, wherein the burners are arranged in a series of ports associated with the glass-melting area of the furnace. The system includesmeans for supplying the pulverized fuel through each of the burners in order to melt the raw material and produce glass. The combustion gas emissions generated by the fuel burning process in the furnace are controlled so as to keep the combustion gases clean and reduce emissions or impurities generated by the fuel, e.g. SOx, NOx and particulates. The regeneration chambers are provided with refractories selected from magnesium, alumina-silica-zirconia or magnesia and zirconia-silicate, in order to counter the abrasive and erosive effects of the fuel burning process in the glass-melting chamber. A burner is also provided for supplying the petroleum coke and said burner includes means for simultaneously mixing primary air and a mixture of air and pulverized fuel for burning the pulverized fuel.

Description

[0001] This application is a continuation-in-part of U.S. Patent Application No. 10 / 601167 filed June 20, 2003, which in turn is a now-abandoned U.S. Patent Application No. 10 / 601167 filed March 23, 2001 Part of .09 / 816254 continues to apply. technical field [0002] The present invention relates to a method and system for crushing fuel feed and combustion in a glass melting furnace, in particular to a method and system for crushing petroleum coke feed and combustion in a glass melting furnace and the system used in the system burner. Background technique [0003] Melting glass is done in various furnaces and with various types of fuel, depending on the final properties of the product and also considering the thermal efficiency of the melting and refining process. Unit melting furnaces are used to melt glass (with gas fuel), these furnaces have several burners along the side of the furnace, the whole unit looks like a sealed box, where the chimney can be placed at the start...
