Abstract

The present invention provides a battery case having a heat dissipation layer on its surface and a lithium polymer battery using the battery case. The heat dissipation layer can improve the heat dissipation and mechanical strength of the battery, and can also improve the responsiveness of the PTC device. The battery case includes a metal layer having first and second surfaces, a heat dissipation layer on the first surface of the metal layer, and a cast polypropylene (CPP) layer on the second surface of the metal layer. The lithium polymer battery has a PTC device electrically connected to the protection circuit module. The PTC device directly contacts the heat dissipation layer of the battery casing, thereby improving the responsiveness of the PTC device.
