Problems solved by technology

Even if the ground jaw is technically sound, it may give the impression that the jaw is a defective product that needs to be processed further so that it can be used
And it shows that the quality of the subsequent grinding jaws is not good

Embodiment Construction

[0011] The jaw 10 according to the invention in the figures comprises a steel base body 12 which is substantially cylindrical. Rack-like teeth 14 are provided laterally along part of the length of the jaws 10 in order to move the jaws 10, for example when clamping a drill in a drill chuck (jaw chuck). The teeth 14 are indicated by dotted lines in the figure. On the side opposite to the face where the tooth 14 is located, the jaw 10 ends with a bevel 16 . The clamping face 18 of the jaw is formed by providing a longitudinal groove 20 on the inclined surface 16 of the base 12 of the jaw 10, into which hard metal particles 22 are embedded and joined to the base by brazing. The hard metal particles 22 include angular hard metal particles that form the clamping surface 18 . If the setting of the hard metal particles 22 is not so precise after brazing, the hard metal particles 22 can be machined into shape by grinding after brazing.

Abstract

This invention is related to a grip jaw 10 for a jaw chuck which includes a metal body 12 waxing a hard alloy. In order to prevent a grip jaw from transforming because of hard waxing treatment, this invention provides a grip jaw whose surface 18 has a hard alloy particle 22 instead of using one hard alloy plates.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a claw of a claw chuck, which comprises a metal base body, on which a hard metal clamping surface is arranged, wherein the hard metal is connected to the base body through hard welding. Background technique [0002] We all know that drilling machines, lathes, and milling machines are equipped with chucks. Chucks have jaws that are adjustable in distance from each other to clamp a usually cylindrical tool (tool shaft) or workpiece in place. The jaws of high-quality chucks have a steel base and their clamping surfaces are provided with plates, strips or similarly shaped hard metals to reduce wear. The hard metal is connected to the substrate by brazing. The clamping face of the jaw is the surface or edge that comes into contact with the tool or workpiece when the tool or workpiece is clamped in place. For extended periods of use and corresponding clamping and releasing cycles, hard metal parts reduce jaw wear and improve conce...
