Abstract

The invention discloses an extraction method and application of asiatic acid. The method comprises the following steps: 1) heating, refluxing and extracting potentilla chinensis by using an ethanol solution, and filtering to recover ethanol to obtain an ethanol crude extract; sequentially extracting the ethanol crude extract by using petroleum ether, chloroform and ethyl acetate, concentrating and drying to obtain an ethyl acetate extract; and 2) dissolving the ethyl acetate extract in methanol, filtering with a microfiltration membrane, concentrating the filtrate, recrystallizing the obtained powder with methanol, loading the obtained fraction on a silica gel column, carrying out gradient elution and thin-layer chromatography to collect the eluent of the same component, loading the sixth fraction on the silica gel column, carrying out gradient elution and thin-layer chromatography to collect the eluent of the same component to obtain four sub-fractions, and recrystallizing the third sub-fraction by using methanol. The application refers to application of asiatic acid in preparation of drugs for preventing and treating alcoholic hepatitis.
