Abstract

The invention provides real-time migration of clusters in a containerized environment. For example, when a request for one or more cluster control planes is received, a predetermined portion of the received request may be allocated to the control plane of a second cluster, and a remaining portion of the received request may be allocated to the control plane of a first cluster. The predetermined portion of the request is processed using the control plane of the second cluster. When a predetermined portion of the request is processed, it is detected whether there is a fault in the second cluster. Based on the failure not being detected in the second cluster, a predetermined portion of the requests assigned to the control plane of the second cluster may be added at a predetermined stage untilall the requests are assigned to the control plane of the second cluster.
