The vending machine capable of automatically recognizing and controlling the consumption authority and the sale method thereof have the advantages that the vending machine is provided with the biological recognizer and a user identity information collecting device, and therefore the biological recognizer is operated to collect the present user's biological features if the item is age limited; the user inputs the identity information, then the biological features of the user's identity information are compared with the biological features obtained by the biological recognizer, and the face-to-face transaction of the user is ensured if the biological features are the same; and the user's age is calculated according to theidentity information to judge whether or not the user can buy the age-limited item.
