Abstract

The invention discloses a device and method for a wheeltrack friction fatigue test. The device comprises a machine base and a direct current motor installed on the machine base. An output shaft of the direct current motor is connected with a large wheel of a simulated steel rail, a hydraulic cylinder is mounted on a crossbeam of the machine base, the end of a piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder extending out downwards is connected with a small wheel mounting base, and a small wheel for simulating a high-speed wheel is installed on the small wheel mounting base through a bearing. A magnetic powder brake is installed on the small wheel mounting base, one end of the a shaft of the small wheel penetrates the bearing and then is connected with an output shaft of the magnetic powder brake, a rim of the small wheel is in an arc shape in the width direction, and a rim of the large wheel is straight in the width direction.
