Abstract

The invention provides a method for testing rebuild and hot backup functions of RAID cards through simulating faulted hard disks. The method comprises the specific processes of: I) building an RAID and installing a to-be-tested system; II) starting a to-be-tested machine, installing an RAID card drive and an RAID card management tool, and monitoring data traffic on a hard disk in each second after the to-be-tested machine is restarted; III) simulating a hard disk fault by using a command of the RAID card management tool; IV) carrying out a hot plug operation; and V) checking a test result and storing an RAID card log. According to the method, test is carried out rebuild, hot plug and hot backup functions through simulating faulted hard disk phenomena at customer sites, so that the test more accords with the application environments at the customer sites, the test result more accords with the requirements and various functions can be verified more effectively.
