The invention aims at providing a method and device for migrating database data. Specifically, the method comprises the steps of obtaining a database statement performed by a user in a corresponding source database instance according to a database migration request submitted by a user; determining a to-be-performed target data object by analyzing the database statement; and caching the target data object to a target source database instance by performing search operation about the target data object in the corresponding source database instance. Compared with the prior art, the method and the device have the advantages that the database statement performed by the user in the corresponding source database instance is obtained according to the database migration request and the target data object is cached to the target source database instance by performing the search operation of the target data object in the corresponding source database instance, wherein the target data object is determined after the database statement is analyzed, so pause or delay phenomena in migration and switching processes when the database is used by the user are reduced, and the access performance of the user for the database in the database migration process is improved.
