The zinc air battery comprises a battery reaction tank, an air electrode lead wire, and a zinc electrode lead wire, wherein the battery reaction tank is formed by single tubular reaction tanks in an arrangement way; a square upper electrolyte collecting tank and a square lower electrolyte collecting tank connected with each single tubular reaction tank are formed in the upper and lower ends of each single tubular reaction tank respectively; a single columnar zinc electrode is arranged in the tubular centre of each single tubular reaction tank; the bottom of each lower electrolyte collecting tank adopts an inverted pyramid shape; a pyramid-shaped conical filter is arranged at the bottom of a filtering tank; an electrolyte is pumped to each upper electrolyte collecting tank through a reflux pump and a reflux pump return pipe; and a safety valve with a dual-film structure is arranged on a cover plate of the reaction tank. The zinc air battery is high in zinc loading amount in one time, capable of realizing energy supplying as a common internal combustion engine and capable of being started and closed rapidly, and has a dual gradient protection effect due to the safety valve; and by virtue of the characteristics, the zinc air battery can satisfy requirement a vehicle power supply and is safer in use.
