Embodiment Construction

[0020] The present invention will be described in further detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and embodiments.

[0021] Take a section of thick cladding polarization-maintaining long beat-length photonic crystal fiber rod, the beat length is between 8-18mm, and the cladding diameter is between 900-1000μm, and fix it on the high-speed rotating motor; figure 1 The compound nonlinear function mathematical model shown is to heat and twist the optical fiber to integrate the quarter-wave plate and sensing function; the expression of the compound nonlinear function mathematical model is: τ(z)= 2π*a*atan((5*z) (3) ) (3) / 0.001; where: a is a variable coefficient, the value here is 1; τ(z) represents the rotation rate function, and Z is the axial movement distance of the optical fiber.

[0022] The diameter of the thinner twisted large-clad polarization-maintaining long-beat-length photonic crystal fiber formed by twisting is set to be 800 μm, and the diameter ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a novel large-wrapping sensing fiber and a fiber sensing ring thereof. The fiber is formed by twisting a long beat length polarized photonic crystal fiber from beginning to end, and the minimum pitch of the fiber after twisting is between 0.2 and 2mm. A wrapping of the fiber is between 300-800[mu]m. The sensing ring comprises a quartz substrate layer, a sensing fiber, a quartz upper wrapping, an external protection skeleton and the like. The ultra-fast laser processing technology is used to perform overall shaping of the integrated sensing fiber. After the stress is released by annealing, the rough part is grinded. A central through hole is drilled, and is placed in the external protection skeleton for fixed packaging. The expansion coefficient of the quartz substrate layer is close to that of the fiber. After the sensing ring is packaged, influences of external temperature and vibration on the integrated fiber polarization are reduced, and the integrated fiber is effectively fixed and protected. The manufacturing precision is high, and the usage is convenient.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a novel large-clad sensing optical fiber used in an optical fiber current sensor and an optical fiber sensing ring thereof. Background technique [0002] With the improvement of the voltage level and transmission capacity of the power system, the stable operation of the relay protection system is becoming more and more important. Traditional electromagnetic current transformers have inevitable defects, such as complex insulation structure, high cost, and large size. Compared with it, the all-fiber-optic current transformer has a series of advantages, such as wide measurement range, high sensitivity, small size, and high safety. Therefore, the all-fiber current mutual sensing technology has been highly concerned by the industry and has been developed rapidly. [0003] The all-fiber optical current transformer uses the Faraday effect to measure the current. The optical fiber is used as the medium of signal transmission, and th...
