By adoption of the decarbonization-preventing coating material, occurrence of a surface decarbonization phenomenon of a heavy rail steel casting blank in a heating process can be effectively avoided for a long time, and the decarbonization layer depth on the surface of the casting blank can be lowered; after the decarbonization-preventing coating material is adopted, the surface decarbonization layer depth of the casting blank is less than or equal to 0.4mm when the heavy rail steel casting blank is heated in a heating furnace with furnace gas oxygen content of greater than or equal to 3% for 10-12h, so that related requirement of TB / T 2344-12 is satisfied; meanwhile, compared with a conventional decarbonization-preventing coating material, the manufacturing cost of the low-cost decarbonization-preventing coating material disclosed by the invention is effectively lowered; and therefore, the low-cost production of a heavy rail steel product is realized, and the production cost of each ton of steel is lowered by about 20RM averagely.
