The preparing method includes following steps: placing air-dried crop straws in an opened container, lighting the straws to enable the straws to burn fully, and collecting straw ash after the straws being burned, wherein the straw ash is the organic pollutant adsorbent. The invention also provides the evaluating method of the organic pollutant adsorbent. The evaluating method includes following steps: processing the adsorbent through a density classification method and a repeatedly acid pickling method to obtain light components, heavy components and carbon-based components in the adsorbent; and carrying out an adsorption experiment to a representative soil organic pollutant, with the crop straws which is used for preparing the adsorbent and the prepared adsorbent together, according to a batch equilibrium method for calculating an equilibrium concentration of the organic pollutant on the adsorbent, thereby obtaining an adsorption isotherm of the adsorbent to the organic pollutant. The invention provides the preparing method and the evaluating method of the organic pollutant adsorbent. The methods are simple.
