Abstract

The invention provides a method for preparing a porous activated carbon material from rice bran. The method comprises the steps of 1, drying the rice bran until the moisture content of the rice bran is less than 14%; 2, carbonizing the dried rice bran under inert gas protection; 3, uniformly mixing the carbonized rice bran and an activating agent, and then activating under the inert gas protection; 4, adding distilled water, performing suction filtration, washing until the PH value is 6.5-7, and then drying to obtain solid power namely prepared porous activated carbon. The method provided by the invention uses the widely-available rice bran as a raw material, is simple in operation process, convenient in control, clean and environment-friendly, and easy in realization of industrialization. The prepared rice bran porous activated carbon is large in specific surface area, low in ash content and controllable in pore diameter distribution. The product can be applied to various fields of electrode materials such as lithium sulfur batteries, lithium ion batteries, super-capacitor and the like, hydrogen storage, carbon dioxide capture, activated carbon adsorbents, catalyst carriers, biology, sensors and the like.
