The joint coating method includes reserving a pipe end with the length of 100-150mm on an erosion-resistant layer; selectively utilizing a narrow polyethylene thermal shrinkage band as a first joint coating construction layer; selectively utilizing a special directional drilling polyethylene thermal shrinkage band as a second joint coating construction layer; utilizing a special directional drilling polyethylene sacrificial band as a third joint coating construction layer in the advancing direction for dragging back a directionally drilled and crossed pipeline. The thickness of the narrow polyethylene thermal shrinkage band is 2.5mm, and the width of the narrow polyethylene thermal shrinkage band is equal to the reserved length of the pipe end after the narrow polyethylene thermal shrinkage band is shrunk. The thickness of the special directional drilling polyethylene thermal shrinkage band ranges from 2.8mm to 3.1mm before the special directional drilling polyethylene thermal shrinkage band is shrunk, and the width of the special directional drilling polyethylene thermal shrinkage band ranges from 520mm to 600mm after the special directional drilling polyethylene thermal shrinkage band is shrunk.
