The online bidirectional testing unit comprises two WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) devices and a filter; the filter is connected in series between testing ports of the two wavelength division multiplexing devices; the testing ports of the two WDM devices are further used for inputting testing light; external wire ports of the WDM devices are used for connecting an external wire port of an optical fiber terminal unit of an optical distribution frame or the optical main distribution frame; and internal wire ports of the WDM devices are used for connecting an internal wire port of the optical fiber terminal unit of the optical distribution frame or the optical main distribution frame. The online bidirectional testing unit provided by the invention is arranged inside the terminal unit of the ODF (Optical Distribution Frame) / OMDF (Optical Main Distribution Frame), so that a function of monitoring a PON (Passive Optical Network) online can be provided, and the rate of occupying a motor room space and the consumption of saving an optical fiber material can be reduced to the greatest extent.
