Abstract

The rust inhibitor has a good diffusion performance inconcrete, and can simultaneously acts upon the cathodes and the anodes of steel bars. The trust inhibitor forms stable chelate rings with the steel bars, and has an excellent rust inhibiting performance. Also, the anions in the rust inhibitor can be combined with calcium ions in the concrete, such that precipitates are formed. With the precipitates, capillary pores in the concrete can be obstructed, and the chloride ion penetration resistance of the concrete can be improved.
