[0063] Experiments with laboratory gravel packs (20 / 40 mesh) with and without nanoparticles in VES fluids demonstrated that gravel packs containing nanoparticles can dissociate after the viscosity of the VES gel fluid breaks and flows out of the pack. Formation fines are fixed in the gravel pack. The base fluid used was water containing 4v / v% WG-3L VES, 7wt% KCl and 3v / v% fish oil internal breaker (Fish Oil 18:12 from Biooriginal Food & Science Corp.). The brine was gelled with VES and mixed with 20 / 40 mesh (425 / 850 microns) gravel and viscosity broken with an internal breaker. In Example 1, no nanoparticles were added, and in Example 2, 20pptg (2.4kg / m 3 ) nanoparticles. After breaking the fracturing fluid, inject the mixture into a 1 inch ID (2.5 cm) acrylic tube with a 100 mesh (150 micron) screen at the bottom of the tube to allow the broken fluid to flow out of the tube and retain the grit The filling is in the tube. The acrylic tube has a 0.125 inch (3 mm) exit hole ...
