[0365] In a typical experiment, the working solution is a transparent hydroalcoholic solution of the extract from the elderberry species in ethanol solution in step 2. The affinity adsorbent polymer resin is XAD7HP or ADS5. Before and after filling the column with ID 25mm and length 500mm, pre-wash 15gm ADS5 affinity adsorbent or 20gm XAD7HP affinity adsorbent with 95% ethanol (4-5BV) and distilled water (4-5BV) . The loaded solution is a crude 80% ethanol leaching phenolic acid solution, in which the chemical components are concentrated by rotary vacuum distillation and ethanol recovery.
