Provided is an accounting apparatus and a method in a portable Internet system. According to the apparatus and method, when an accounting report is periodically performed or service status change, such as service generation / change / deletion, is requested from a portable subscriber station (PSS), accounting information for all service flows in progress at the timing of an accounting report is transferred to an accounting server according to one accounting report period.
