Abstract

The dry meal of the seed of a Japan Aesculus 5 kg is marinated over night by 80 percents of ethanol 20 L, extracted 30 min under ultrasonic and at room temperature, filtered by three times; the filtrates are merged, and concentrated by reducing pressure; 80 percents of ethanol extraction is obtained and dissolves in water; the solution flows by a macroporous resin D101 column; then the column is washed by water and 80 percents of ethanol in sequence. The ethanol solution is concentrated by reducing pressure and dried by vacuum; finally, aescinate total saponin is obtained. The invention has an obvious role in anti-obesity in zoopery and can be used for the preparation of medicines for prevention and treatment of obesity.
