Abstract

The invention discloses the diatomite filler and the preparation method, which is composed by the followings based on the weight per centage: diatomite 83 per cent to 87 per cent, ferrous powder 8 per cent to 12 per cent and rice bran powder 4 per cent to 6 per cent. The diatomite, ferrous powder and rice bran powder are dried under constant temperature after mixing and dehydrated, and are added with the vesicant and binder to stir evenly and smash. The pelletizer is used to make the smashed materials spheric shape with diameter of 3mm to 6mm and the materials of spheric shape are calcined. During calcining, the coal is dried and grinded into powder and the air injection gear is used to spray the coal powder evenly on the materials of spheric shape. The diatomite filler is gained through sieving and grading after calcining. The diatomite filler of the invention has the advantages of being stronger in biological adhesion, strong in microorganism adhesion, richer in species, larger in specific area, high in porosity, stabler in water treatment facilities, less in energy consumption, light in weight and hard in wearing.
