Embodiment 1

[0040] Experimental purpose: To illustrate the therapeutic effect of Pic on IBD by recording the weight change, diarrhea and bloody stool of mice.

Abstract

The invention provides picroside II as a medicine for preventing and treating inflammatory bowel diseases. The invention also provides picroside II which can improve the symptoms of weight loss, diarrhea and bloody stool in the inflammatory bowel disease. The NF-kappa B pathway can be inhibited. And the expression of proinflammatory factors TNF-alpha, IL-1beta, TLR4 and COX2 can be reduced. Experimental research shows that in animal experiments, Pic can effectively relieve symptoms such as weight loss, diarrhea, occult blood stool and the like of mice caused by DSS-induced acute IBD and relieve the colon crypt destruction degree and the colon tissue inflammatory infiltration degree.
