Abstract

The method comprises the steps: adding a vulcanizing agent into crude selenium slag which is crushed to 200 meshes or below, uniformly mixing and briquetting to obtain a mixed material, putting the mixed material into a closed furnace, and heating and vulcanizing in an inert atmosphere; carrying out vacuum distillation on the vulcanized selenium, enabling the selenium to enter a gas phase and be collected in a volatile matter form, and enriching generated mercury sulfide and valuable elements and enabling the generated mercury sulfide and the valuable elements to enter residues; and carrying out secondary distillation on the obtained selenium for further mercury removal. The method is simple in process, safe and controllable in process and convenient to operate, the mercury content in the final selenium product is smaller than 5 ppm, the direct recovery rate of selenium is larger than 96%, and the removal rate of mercury is larger than 99.8%.
