Abstract

The invention relates to masonry mortar and a method for preventing and treating saltpetering of a plain brick wall, belonging to the technical field of building decoration engineering construction. The invention aims to overcome the problems that the attractiveness and quality an existing traditional plain brick wall are affected since white crystals are precipitated on the surface of a wall body of the existing traditional plain brick wall and do not fade all the year round. The masonry mortar is prepared by matching low-alkali cement, quartz sand, cellulose ether and an alkali efflorescence resisting agent according to a certain ratio. The method sequentially comprises the steps of pre-elimination of salt for a single brick, pre-hydrophobic treatment, wall body building with the masonry mortar for prevention and treatment of the plain brick wall, brick joint cleaning, bottom joint pointing, surface joint pointing, salt elimination for a wall body, surface enhancement of the wall body and surface hydrophobic treatment. According to the method, from the angles of masonry materials and improvement of a construction process, low-alkali cement with low alkali content is selected and is blended into mortar; and single bricks are pretreated and then laid, so construction is rapid, the safety and the use quality of the plain brick wall are optimized, and the overall style and appearance of a historical building are improved.
