Abstract

An optical module provided by the invention comprises a circuit board, a light source, and a silicon optical chip, an MCU, a first sampling circuit, a second sampling circuit and a locking circuit which are arranged on the circuit board, wherein the silicon optical chip receives light which is emitted by the light source and does not carry a signal through an input light port of the silicon optical chip, modulates the light which does not carry the signal into signal light and outputs the signal light through an output light port of the silicon optical chip; the MCU is connected with a direct current bias signal interface of the silicon optical chip; the first sampling circuit is connected with a first monitoring light port of the silicon optical chip, receives the signal light transmitted by the first monitoring light port and outputs a first sampling voltage; the second sampling circuit is connected with a second monitoring light port of the silicon optical chip, receives the signal light transmitted by the second monitoring light port and outputs a second sampling voltage; and the locking circuit is connected with the direct current bias signal interface of the silicon optical chip. In the optical module, the amplitude of the first sampling voltage and the amplitude of the second sampling voltage approach each other, so that the silicon optical chip is maintained at the optimal working point.
