Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a video clip retrieval method and device, and relates to the field of video data search. The method comprises the steps of performing video frame sampling ona target video and a to-be-retrieved video in a video library, and performing feature extraction on sampled sampling frames; matching the target video with the to-be-retrieved video according to the characteristics of the sampling frame, and determining candidate to-be-retrieved videos matched with the target video; determining at least one candidate video clip from the candidate videos to be retrieved, and calculating the matching degree of the target video and each candidate video clip based on the characteristics of each sampling frame; and determining a video clip matched with the target video in the to-be-retrieved video according to the matching degree of the target video and each candidate video clip. The method improves the accuracy of video retrieval.
