The process comprises the following steps: performing standing on a collected landfill leachate, carrying out filtering, then conveying the filtered landfill leachate into an adjusting pool, and adjusting the pH value of the filtered landfill leachate to 7-9; then conveying the landfill leachate with an adjusted pH value into a pretreatment pool; and adding activated bentonite into the pretreatment pool according to a proportion of 0.03 t of the activated bentonite in each cubicmeter of the landfill leachate, then carrying out stirring for 10 min at a speed of 200-300 r / min, after completion of stirring, carrying out standing for 60 min, then carrying out draining so as to obtain effluent of a landfill leachate pretreatment process, and conveying the effluent of the landfill leachate pretreatment process to a subsequent treatment procedure. The process provided by the invention can effectively remove COD, ammonia nitrogen and SS in a leachate, can remove 65% or more of chromaticity of the leachate and 80% or more of heavy metal pollutants, can use a pretreated leachate for regulating the water quantity and water quality of a stock solution, is simple in process flow, stable and reliable in operation and low in investment and treatment cost, reduces pressure for subsequent treatment of the leachate, reduces the cost of treatment and improves the efficiency of treatment.
