Abstract

The invention discloses a tooth crack detection method and system and relates to the technical field of tooth detection. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a tooth image taken by a near-infrared camera; preprocessing the tooth image so as to obtain a gray image; performing edge binaryzation on the gray image so as to obtain an edge point; performing Hough transform on the edge point so as to obtain a rho value of the edge point in a Hough space; processing the rho value of the Hough space by using a Moore voting method so as to obtain pixel points of a tooth crack; and addingcolor marks to the pixel point of the tooth crack, and outputting a tooth crack image. The method is based on the tooth image taken by the near-infrared camera, according to the characteristic that shapes of tooth cracks are mostly approximate to a straight line, the image is subjected to edge binaryzation, and a straight line crack of a tooth can be found in a mode with the combination of the Hough transform method and the Moore voting method; and real-time precision detection on the tooth crack can be achieved, and the method has the characteristics of no radiation, no detection time limit and high reliability.
