The method comprises the following steps executed by each slave node under the condition of detecting that an original master node is marked to be offline: enabling the slave node to exchange replication offset with other slave nodes so as to determine voting initiation request delay of the slave node; sending a voting request to other slave nodes in response to the slave node waiting time reaching the voting request initiating delay and the new master node not being elected yet; counting voting results in response to voting received by the slave node from other slave nodes to determine whether the slave node is elected as a new master node; and, in response to the slave node being elected as a new master node, using the new master node instead of the original master node to provide service to the outside. The method can achieve the automatic fault migration when the database node cluster breaks down, liberates the manual dependence, and guarantees the data continuity.
