The embodiment of the invention provides a method and a device for updating a fast application, a method and a device for manufacturing an installation package and a mobile terminal. The manufacturingmethod of the installation package of the fast application comprises the steps that a first installation package is received, the first installation package is decompressed into at least one first installation file, and a preset second installation package is decompressed into at least one second installation file; and a differential update package is generated based on data other than the same data between the first installation file and the second installation file. The fast application updating method comprises the following steps: receiving a differential updating packet; generating a third installation package based on a preset second installation package and the difference updating package; and updating the corresponding fast application by adopting a third installation package. Thedifferential update package is generated based on the data except the same data between the first installation file and the second installation file, so that the effects of reducing the package sizerequired for updating the fast application and reducing the user flow consumption are achieved.
