The method comprises the steps of obtaining a to-be-identified fingerprint image; interpolating the to-be-identified fingerprint image to obtain a first fingerprint image, wherein the resolution of the first fingerprint image is greater than that of the to-be-identified fingerprint image; detecting a sweat pore area in the first fingerprint image according to preset sweat pore pixel characteristics; determining sweat pore characteristics of the first fingerprint image according to the detected sweat pore area; and according to the sweat pore characteristics, identifying the fingerprint in the to-be-identified fingerprint image.
