Abstract

The invention relates to a tunable local area hollow beam optical tweezers system based on a double-beam laser trap. The system comprises a laser source, a beam shaping assembly, a beam split assembly, a reflector assembly, a hollow beam generation assembly and a hollow beam convergence assembly. The hollow beam generation assembly comprises a first bi-cone lens and a second bi-cone lens. The hollow beam convergence assembly comprises a first parabolic curved mirror and a second parabolic curved mirror. Beams emitted by the laser source are shaped through utilization of the beam shaping assembly. The beams are split into first beams and second beams through utilization of the beam split assembly. The first beams and the second beams pass the reflector assembly, are incident on the first bi-cone lens and the second bi-cone lens and then pass the first parabolic curved mirror and the second parabolic curved mirror. The beams converged by the first parabolic curved mirror and the second parabolic curved mirror form tunable local area hollow beams. The system provided by the invention is simple in structure, is convenient for operation and is low in cost. Controllability over particulates in air is improved.
