Abstract

The invention discloses a method for cultivating Chinese tallow trees. The method includes the following steps: (a) seed selection: selecting mother trees at a tree age of more than 20 years, and harvesting seeds when fruits crack in November; (b) sowing: sowing the seeds in a wide row in spring, 5 to 10 kg per mu; (c) thinning: performing thinning when seedlings are 10-15 cm high, retaining seedling row spacing of 5-10 cm, and reserving 6000-8000 seedlings each mu; (d) management: including weeding, soil loosening, watering and fertilizing, and applying 20-30 kg of slow release fertilizer permu in one time; watering the seedlings once every 8-10 days, subjected to wetting of the surface soil around the tree seedlings; (f) grafting: selecting crown branches on mother trees fine in varietyas scions, and forming straight seedlings.
