The low-emission fuel additive is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 40-65 parts of glycerin monostearate, 4-12 parts of glycerin triacetate, 15-25 parts of dimethyl sulfate, 35-50 parts of cyclohexylamine, 5-15 parts of isooctyl nitrate, 5-10 parts of isoamyl butyrate, 25-50 parts of polyacrylamide, 35-50 parts of sec-butyl methyl ether and 1-9 parts of methacrylamide. After being added into fuel, the low-emission fuel additive provided by the invention can obviously reduce the emission rate of CO, smoke and NOX during burning, and enables the fuel to be fully burnt, thus increasing the combustion efficiency, saving the fuel, lowering the cost and achieving the aims of reducingemission and protecting the environment; furthermore, the low-emission fuel additive can remarkably improve the emission of pollutants produced after fuel combustion, thus being more energy-saving andenvironmentally friendly.
